Two Ways to Reduce Stress with Energy Work


The current energy of our planet is extremely heavy. We all feel it! The nasty combination of the pandemic and the presidential election are creating such divide in our world. What is the result? Depression, stress, anxiety, headaches and body pain, suicidal thoughts and so much more. We all desperately need some light in our lives! There are many things that you can do for self-care that will help alleviate some of these symptoms.


Energy work is such an easy way to heighten your mood and overall well-being. Anyone has the ability to work with energy. It all starts with trusting and having faith in yourself and then creating a visual that you can believe. Really apply your intention to the process. I always tell my clients to think of energy as colored light and create an intricate story with it. This visual allows the mind to have a picture to focus on. Let me explain with some examples.


  1. Create an immediate sense of peace by inviting in light: Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and imagine that there is a beam of golden light shining down on you from above. Now create that intricate story that I mentioned. Imagine this golden light is warm and as it shines on you it warms up your body, like the sun. You can feel it warming your skin and relaxing your muscles. Keep going with the story by imagining that this light has a smell or a sound. Maybe it smells like the salt of the ocean, or honeysuckle flowers. Is it making a sound? Yes! It is a powerful light, and you can hear sounds that resemble static electricity. Does this light make you feel a certain emotion? Yes, it does. This is light from your God, higher power or even guardian angels (whatever feels true to you). As it shines on you, you feel a heavenly sense of unconditional love and protection. It feels like the biggest hug from your mother or father. It feels like being wrapped up in your favorite blanket and being in the safest most comfortable place you have ever been.

It is okay if you don't see an actual picture in your minds eye! Don't get stuck on that. If you don't see a picture, just keep writing that story and feeling the picture. Sit with your story for as long as you like, truly feeling it. When you are done, just open your eyes. This visualization technique is a great way to calm yourself and will leave you feeling relaxed and peaceful. There are many other visualizations for self-healing.   1. Pay attention to your chakras: The chakra system is so important an is often overlooked as we go about our busy lives! Below are some ways to help keep your chakras vibrant and clear. Chakra colors: Root Chakra (Red), Sacral Chakra (Orange), Solar Plexus Chakra (Yellow), Heart Chakra (Green or Pink), Throat Chakra (Blue), Third Eye Chakra (Indigo,) Crown Chakra (Violet or White).

• Eat healthy foods that are the same color as each chakra, such as beets or berries for the root chakra and bananas and pineapple for the solar plexus

• Wear and decorate your living space with colors that correspond with each chakra

• Visualize sending colored light to each chakra

• Lie down and place crystals of corresponding colors on each chakra

• Ask your God, angels, guides, soul council, etc. for assistance with clearing the chakras

• Stop complaining and instead, express thankfulness

• Get an energy healing session

• Meditate

• Get out in nature

• Walk barefoot in the soil

• Pray

• Exercise

• Eat healthy
